Who is Joe Lin?
Joe Lin is a candidate for Jericho Board of Education trustee in 2022. He is seeking your support. Joe has been a member of the Jericho community, along with his wife, since 2008. His only child currently attends Jericho Middle School as a 6th grader. He has served the Jericho community as a coach for his son's sports teams. It is out of his love and belief in the unrealized potential of our schools and our children that he has decided to serve on our school board.

CLOSE GAPS IN JERICHO'S K-12 STEM CURRICULUM TO RAISE OUR LEVEL OF EXCELLENCE
Ensure Jericho has the most robust STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) program from elementary through high school in addition to our blue-ribbon curriculums.

Mentoring & Coaching
Educating and mentoring children are not just campaign issues for me; it is fundamentally who I am. My mother was a teacher. My wife, Nancy, is an educational leader. I have taught art to children, led Sunday school, established mentorship programs at multiple companies, and coached my son’s sports and VEX robotics teams with a focus on each child’s improvement and learning.
EMPATHY & PASSION
What makes Joe Lin unique is that he can relate to so many different groups of people. As someone that struggles with ADHD with high levels of hyperactivity, Joe understands the challenges for those with differing needs. His upbringing means he relates with all facets of the social economic spectrum. He will relate to you not as a campaign talking point, but as a human being. He empathizes with you through his own personal experiences. Because he relates to others through his own personal experiences, he will represent you with passion.
SOLUTION FOCUSED
It was while serving as a coach on my son's VEX robotics team that Joe noticed other school districts had elementary and middle school teams at competitions, but Jericho did not. He realized that there was a gap in Jericho's STEAM program. This has led Joe to reach out to key stakeholders to understand the situation and collaboratively brainstorm on possible solutions. As a collaborator he will gather feedback and incorporate them into WIN-WIN solutions. For Joe, it's not about winners and losers. He will be doggedly focused on our community, our schools, and our children.
